Ask your teacher to contact a nursing home that has e-mail and Internet access. Set up e-mail contact with some residents of the nursing home, to discuss the question "The best and worst things about school".

Work in small groups. Draw up a list of your own "best and worst".

Draw up a list of questions that you would like to ask the older person, to find out what are their thoughts on their own school days, and to see whether they share any of your feelings. Compare the thoughts of the older person with your own list and identify things that are the same and things that are different. For each difference, work out a reason why the difference exists.

Summarise your findings in a short report.

If you have a school Web site, discuss with your teacher whether you can publish the reports.
