1. Survey - TV programmes

Interview a grown-up (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, neighbour) about the TV programmes they watch. Work in small groups.

Before the interview, each group should make an interview sheet like the sample sheet below, using a computer if possible. Write the answers in the "Answer" column during the interview. You may need to discuss the answers with the person you are interviewing before you write them down.

Each group should interview at least 10 people. Bring your completed sheets to school and do the following:

  1. For your group, work out the top three TV programmes among the people who answered the questions.
  2. Show how many of the people surveyed are happy with the way older people are shown and how many are not.
  3. Compare the results with the answers collected by your classmates.
